In Squad, we provide numerous methods to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the battlespace. To help facilitate navigating the complexity of communication on the battlefield, we provide a world-class in-game VoIP system that allows you to talk to other soldiers locally, internally in your squad, between squad leaders, or squad leaders to the Commander. Also, we provide a plethora of other tools that fire team leaders and squad leaders may use to inform their squads and teams, such as map tools and in-world marking tools. a09c17d780 Title: SquadGenre: Action, Indie, Strategy, Early AccessDeveloper:Offworld IndustriesPublisher:Offworld IndustriesFranchise:Offworld IndustriesRelease Date: 14 Dec, 2015 Squad Activation Code Offline was crashing on launch after v13 then i un sub from all mods and game works again. PTSD Trigger Sim. So I've been playing this game on off from its very early days before vehicles were introduced and it was literally a walking simulator but surprisingly, fun... The community is what makes it and the servers are great, I play on the Mumblerines server in EU and theres always a mumble admin around to punish toxic or cheating players and they dont abuse it. Usually I will spend a couple a hundreds hours and burn out before taking a break but I always come back to it and it is addictively fun. Every map you play ends up playing out differently and thats part of the replayability of this gem, the other part is the community, part serious, part messing about with mates that you've made on the server and they will stay with you forever as every time I get back on, I'm always greeted with old friends I made in the past. This game filled a hole for me, I never played project reality but I did use to play a game called Delta Force which is about 20 years old now but it was amazing, virtually open world where you had to attack an objective with how ever you wanted and I loved and missed it... You wont find another game like this, where team work is crucial, where everyone works together and even incompetent squad leaders will get chewed up on coms by the more experienced ones.. This is Squad and it will give you a crazy and wild experience and even though I havent played since summer of last year, I'm about to refresh my experience and join the fray for my like 5th time which surely wont be the last.Dont be afraid that that has been on steam in early access for the last 4 years, it is still very much active and even at the time of writing this from my last game last summer, they've added tanks and new weapons as well as changed the games dynamics a little but the changes always feel right, progressive, which is more than what I can say for most modern games.I hope Squad carries on advancing and keeps this game alive for as long as the engine lets it because this is the game I really love the most, it's up there as one of the greatest and most enjoyable game I have ever played and with the 1000 hours currently on this and being my highest played game on steam as well as this being my first ever review should tell you how highly I rate this game :D. like insurgency, but on a larger scale, buildables, vehicles, no NPCs (all real people).team coordination is a MUSTa few different game modes that are fun, but more would be great. All games start off in a "planning phase" of about 2-3 minutes to allow players to load into the server and squad leads to figure out who's doing whatplaying a game like this is somewhat of an acquired taste than something you would just pick up and playfor a game in alpha, this is more complete and thorough than a lot of modern games already out.. Ok, just passed 800 hours in this game and feel it's time for me to show some support with an honest review.Squad has a mostly very positive and helpful community. This helps with helping new players adjust to some of the differences in this "mil sim" game. If you've been a fan of the Call of Duty or the Battlefield series but you want a somewhat slower, much more tactical approach to a shooter, this is probably the game for you. If you're always the guy on comms calling out targets and covering your teammates this might be the game for you.If you're over spawning, throwing a grenade in the typical spot, and pre-firing the same corners and are looking for a bit more of a challenge, this is probably the game for you.If you like to play different roles and focus on doing your job to achieve the objectives, this is probably the game for you.If you're still trying to figure out this if this is the game for you go watch some videos on YouTube that Karmakut creates and see if you like what you see.Pros:Mostly mature players, good communityTrue tactical play with fun maps, weapons, and factionsLess hackers than you'll find in some of the AAA gamesNo focus on K\/D ratios, no kill cams, no kill feed, no nade spam, no lone-wolfs (well sometimes)Cons:Steep learning curve for some playersStill under development, some small bugs. It is very enjoyable. At its best it has an effective blend of the skills needed for Arma but the gameplay of a good Battlefield match. Team play is obviously a must, and there are always multiple ways to approach a situation (regardless of quality). However, for the uncoordinated, these and the fact the game punishes you for tunnel vision, can of course make this very challenging people new to Squad. Thankfully, you will usually find a kind Squad to help you along the way if you just give a friendly hello and request for help. Unfortunately, there are issues I see and can't really get past, and these are entirely player based. You may run in to botched matches were your squad leader comms go silent for an hour, or your own Squad Leader promotes someone else at random, or leaves without warning. Even these experiences can be salvaged however with the interaction in your own Squad if you have the level of camaraderie developed.
