CONs: Only one trading card and no achievements. Levels can be finished with a simple exercise of dodging enemies. Soundtrack gets me nervous. There isn't any score system (it may be a fundant pillar of the shmup genre). Controls should be remapped (moving my bug with Xbox's D-pad is uncomfortable).PROs: nice storyline (even though an extinct mankind is still throwing nuclear bombs every six seconds), good graphics.. Awwwwwww!! No Scores!!Awwwwwww!! No Scores!! Thank's for the trading Cards anyway.. Why did I buy this?I Should really discard it tbh.0/10. PROS:+ great art style+ nice sountrack+ steam trading cards+ funny story+ difficulty optionsCONS:- unskippable cutscenes- weird hitboxes of some enemies/enviroment- level soundtrack looping from the beginning when you die- still need to hit Esc (for pause) and Space (for next level) on the keyboard when playing with controllerComment:I do not really re-do reviews but this remaster seems to fix a lot of the issues I had with the previous version. So I gave it a go as it's a good game concept with loveable art style. But the gameplay is NOT for everyone! RADical Roach WAS a fast-paced arcade shooter with "3 difficulty settings" - HARD, HARD & HARD. Now they added actual options and good for them to do so. Hard (now Classic) mode is still brutaly punishing, without checkpoints and only 3 lives per level. But some enemies or terrain parts are instant death so you still have to be quick. This game is for people who LOVE a challenge. However, those people have to be masochist cats because it takes cat-like reflexes to beat this game. The lower difficulties help with HP regeneration. Bosses are cool but their attack patterns are so fast that it often becomes more about luck and gimmicks. Learning the boss attacks helps a little. It almost seems like this game was made with a lower framerate and the 60FPS framerate you play in is just crazy fast. Weird thing is that as you progress through the levels the game gets better and I dare say more fair. But is this remaster worth your time? The original version seemed to be missing so much dev adjustments that I did not recommend buying it, not even on a sale. This one is a lot better and may be worth your time if you're into difficult 2D bullet-hell shooters ... but the maybe not for the full price.P.S.: This game also adds Pixel Puzzles Ultimate (a bare-bones puzzle game with a ton of DLCs and around thousand achievements). And if you do not want it in your Library you unfortunately cannot remove it without removing RADical ROACH Remastered too...------------------------------------------------------------------If you liked this review you can find more on the Curator page or in my Review Corner.. This is a freaking hard game, I got it for free for what ever reason, it's side scrolling Third Person Roach shotting simulator with a kick♥♥♥♥♥sound track, but can get annoying after a while, also you can't turn it off!. picked up for 49p because it was on sale, pretty generic game, controls are pretty choppy too, not as smooth as i'd like them to be. Terrible gameplay, 0/10. this game is so tuff!!!!!! even a r7 260x graphics card doesnt stand a chance for its supreme power. Its so difficult the hardest part is desciding was spending 69 cents on a sale a good idea.
